Meezan Bank, Pakistan's first and largest Islamic Bank, conducted a series of seminars on Islamic Banking at 20 locations in various cities across Pakistan. A statement here on Monday said that those seminars were in line with its vision of making Islamic Banking the Banking of first choice.

It said the main objective was also to increase the awareness amongst the general public about the importance and benefits of Islamic Banking. Islamic banking had grown very rapidly in Pakistan but people were generally not clear on the concepts on which it was based, the statement added.

The main objective of these seminars is to create better awareness about Islamic Banking, dispel the misunderstandings about it and give access to the general public to the key people in the Islamic Banking sector for one-on-one discussions, answering queries and developing a better understanding of the concepts of Islamic finance.

The seminars were successfully held not only in major cities but also in many small towns across Pakistan. Statement also pointed out that the seminars were appreciated by customers who requested those be held more frequently and appreciated that those helped them in gaining a better understanding of Islamic Banking.-PR
