The CNG bus operation, in service on two routes only, depriving residents of Gulistan-e-Jauhar from general public facilitation by the government, which is highly injudicious. Jauhar Chowrangi is the central point of Gulistan-e-Jauhar providing bus stops and passage to all important destinations in the four directions of the city.

Citizens gather at this point to get public transport. This bus point is crowded by office going people, students, families and general public. Now the only choice for poor and middle class people remains the broken wagons, outdated mini buses and smoke emitting old buses. Their illiterate conductors misbehave with passengers, charge fare of their choice without issuance of tickets and pick-up/drop passengers in the middle of the road, in a great risk to life.

It appears the owners of these outdated vehicles have claimed their monopoly in connivance with the concerned authorities for transportation of passengers from the main point of Jauhar Chowrangi. This partial arrangement is very disheartening for the residents of this area who feel neglected.

Government of Sindh and City Nazim is requested to kindly restore the services of CNG bus as well as air-conditioned private coasters, via Jauhar Chowrangi, as before, to facilitate residents of this area for safe bus journey to/from all important points like Tower, Saddar, Clifton, Airport, Malir.
