  • Comments Off on LG polls issue: Nazimeen warn against appointment of bureaucrats as administrators
City district Nazim of Multan Mian Faisal Mukhtar, Town Nazimeen Mian Jameel Ahmed, Shaukat Hayat Bosan, Rana Suhail Ahmed Noon and Rai Arif Mansab have stated that they would move to the court of law if Punjab Government took any unlawful step by appointing bureaucrats as administrators and said that Government was binding to hold election within 60 days.

Addressing a joint press conference here on Monday they said that the historic convention of Nazims and their complete trust in Pervaiz Elahi has forced the PML-N not to hold the local government (LG) elections. They said the PML-N was violating the law by not convening the Punjab Assembly session and said the government was not presenting the proposed draft of the NFC in the session despite signing it, which was a violation of Article 160.

They said the allied parties were bulldozing important legal matters just because of their infighting on bringing one resolution. Nazimeen said the district government system had been transferred to the provincial governments but the provincial government was yet to take the elected house in confidence. They alleged that the provincial government was not fulfilling the required legal procedure in making legislation.
