A US missile strike on Thursday killed at least two people in tribal belt, security and intelligence officials said. The missile struck a compound in Machikhel village, 25 kilometres (15 miles) east of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan tribal region on the Afghan border.

"A US drone fired two missiles, which hit a compound of a local tribesman, Karim Khan, killing two people," a senior security official told AFP.
