The Government of Pakistan has announced promotion of Commodore Khan Hasham Bin Saddique to the rank of Rear Admiral with effect from July 1, 2009, as notified by Ministry of Defence. Rear Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique did his matriculation from PAF College Sargodha, and FSc from Cadet College Petaro where he was awarded prestigious 'stick of honour, for best all round cadet.

He joined Pakistan Navy in January 1978 and after initial training at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, UK, got his commission in 1980. He won the coveted Sword of Honour on his commissioning. He is a Surface Warfare Officer, who has wide ranging command and staff experience in the Navy.

At sea, apart from commanding a Fast Patrol Boat, he has been the Principal Warfare Officer onboard a DDG and later served as Squadron Operations officer of the Destroyer Squadron. His tour of duty as Executive Officer was onboard Destroyer PNS BADR. He commanded a Type-21 DDG, PNS Shahjahan for two years during 2000-02. He has also served as Chief Staff Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet and has a distinct honour of Commanding Multi-National Maritime Task Force (CTF-150) at HQ Navcent, Bahrain.

Ashore, he was Directing Staff at Pakistan Navy Tactical School, Staff Officer at the Directorate of Naval Warfare and a brief stint as ACNS(Plans) at Naval Headquarters. He has been Deputy as well as Commandant of Pakistan Naval Academy. He has also commanded PNS Bahadur, the Maritime Operations Training Complex and Pakistan Navy War College at Lahore.

His professional qualifications include Surface Warfare Officer Course from USA and Communications specialisation from Pakistan. He has undergone Joint Service Staff Course and Armed Forces War Course at National Defence University, Islamabad. He holds Masters Degree in Joint Warfare and War Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and M Sc (Operations Research) from Naval Post-Graduates School, Monterey, USA.-PR
