The University of Sindh reviewed the arrangements on Friday for conducting test of the candidates of High School Teachers (HST), Junior School Teachers (JST) and Primary School Teachers (PST) at all the district headquarters from April 24, 2009.

In this connection, a high level meeting was convened by the Vice Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui of the team leaders who have been appointed to supervise test centres, steering committee of testing centre, convenors of transport, finance and other management committees.

The Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Registrar M. Saleh Rajar and other concerned officials also attended the meeting. The meeting was briefed about the arrangements towards data provided by the executive district officers (EDOs) (Education) from 23 districts of province of the candidates who have applied for the posts of HST, JST and PST and process of the issuance of the admit cards.

The vice chancellor underlined the importance of the test and said that the responsibility lies on the shoulders of each and every member to play its part for transparency in teachers' test. The vice chancellor informed the meeting that the chief minister Sindh has assured the profound arrangements of security at all examination centres. He stressed upon the team leaders to perform duties very honestly and diligently without any compromise and added that this test is most important for recruitment of teachers by the government of Sindh. It was further informed to the meeting that the University has already conducted training of the invigilators at their home districts during last week while for the guidance of the students, a instructions sheet is already provided with admit cards.

The meeting also decided to advise all EDOs to direct invigilators appointed by their offices to bring CNIC and service cards during tests duties. It is pointed out that Sindh University's Testing Centre has been conducting test of candidates for the posts of HST on April 24, JST on April 25 and PST on April 26. It is further pointed out that a joint meeting of the University of Sindh and Education and Literacy Department scheduled to be held on Monday to finalise arrangements of the tests.
