Federal Minister for Science and Technology Azam Khan Swati Saturday commended the contributions made by the officers and jawans of Mansehra Police in maintaining law and order in the district in the wake of terrorism and extremism in NWFP.

"The officials are worthy to be praised for their high performance and professionalism in the district of Mansehra in maintaining law and order in the areas adjoining the insurgency-hit areas of Swat and Malakand agency. They should be given a pat on the back for stopping the percolation of the insurgency in this area," said the Minister after his meeting with officers and jawans of District Police Mansehra here at Pakhtoonkhwah House.

The bravery of these officers and jawans is unmatchable and it is worth quoted in the history of frontier province, where the wave of terrorism has affected the lives of the people, he added. The officers and jawans offered special thanks and paid tribute to the Minister for his keen interest for solving their problem of transfers to areas other than Mansehra and retaining them in the respective areas of their residence.
