President Pervez Musharraf Wednesday said he is fulfilling his constitutional role in the present set-up and therefore will not step down, Aaj TV reported. He is quoted as saying this during his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Q President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Hamid Nasir Chatha at Camp Office in Rawalpindi.

The meeting discussed the possibility of talks with Pakistan People's Party in connection with forming government with them in the Province besides return of the PML-Q leaders who quitted and formed forward blocs within the party. PML-Q leaders assured the President of staying united and working for further strengthening of the party.
