Baitullah Mehsud and Fazlullah are the people who are involved in the assassination of the PPP leader, he alleged. In his address to the nation on television and radio, he said that UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown had agreed to send a team of experts to help government investigators in making the probe foolproof.

"The political parties should come forward irrespective of their differences and grievances to help the government for the improvement of deteriorated law and order situation in the country. There is need to reach at the root causes of terrorism, said the president. He warned that if the extremism and terrorism were not wiped out, the country's future, God forbids, would be very dark. We have to tackle the menace of terrorism and extremism in a more forceful way, he said.
