The event will be of 15 matches and top two teams will earn slot in 2008's Pakistan Premier League, replacing the two teams who will finish in 13th and 14th berth in ongoing PPL League.
The Pakistan Air Force Complex will host six matches, including January 17's closing ceremony while Lahore's newly-introduced Pak Elektron Limited will host their home matches at the Model Town Football Academy Ground against PAF and PPWD. Three-Karachi based team, SSGC, PWD and Pak Steel will show their mettle at Pak Steel Township Ground, Karachi, which will seven encounters including opener.
PFF League is Tier-II Competition of PFF and adoption of a three-tier system in domestic soccer, on lines of leagues in Europe and South America, is one of the laudable works under PFF chief who is going all out in quest of glory days for Pakistan football. The National Football Championship (Tier I) is named as the Pakistan Premier League while National Championship (Tier-II) is known as the PFF League. The National Club Championship is a Tier-III event.
The teams qualified for Super Six after first round are 1986 National Champion Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Wah's Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF), Pak Elektron Limited (PEL), Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD), Pakistan Steel and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). The first round saw 14 teams in action and out of them Dera Ismail Khan's Dera XI, Faisalabad's Panther FC, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Bannu's Bannu Red, Quetta's Baloch Club, Pakistan Police, Nushki's Baloch Club and Karachi's Maripur Baloch eliminated. The Pakistan Premier League will resume on Friday.
