Indian and China objected on Saturday to a 2009 climate deal draft at UN talks in Bali, saying rich nations should do more to lead the way. Indian told a 190-nation meeting that it wanted the final text to strengthen the role of rich nations in providing clean technology and finance to help fight global warming.

"The need of the hour is for enhanced commitments and instead we see a huge watering down," said Indian delegate Chandrasekhar Dasgupta. "This is a conspiracy," a Chinese delegate said of a draft text presented to delegates.
