The 13-day course will come to conclusion on 8th May, 2007. It is part of the festival which will be followed by Head Coaches Workshop (1st-2nd May), AFC Referees' Talent Acceleration Programme (1st- 3rd May) and U14 soccer event from 4th-8th May, a spokesman Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), said here on Tuesday.
PFF's President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has approved international striker Adeel Ahmed to attend AFC C-Certificate Coaching Course alongwith Malik Adnan Ahmed.
Nowshera-born Adeel Ahmed is two-times gold medalist of SAF Games in 2004 and 2006. He was instrumental in making Pakistan the most successful team of 22-year history of South Asian Games.
PFF chief also asked National Referees Shahid Rashid and Muhammad Ali to visit Dhaka for three-day AFC Referees' Talent Acceleration Programme while Coach Nasir Ismail of Pakistan U13 team, which will show his strength in five-day event, will represent Pakistan in two-day Head Coaches Workshop (1st-2nd May).
"The festival is a step of organising the AFC U-15 Championship in the future. The matches of the five-day long festival will be held in two formats-20 minutes game for the first 24 matches and 60 minutes for the nine matches. But the wins or loss will not be counted as there will be no trophy for the winners in the festival but the players will be awarded with green cards to promote fair play and sporting behaviours," said PFF chief.
