Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Sunday said that the government will allocate additional funds for the provision of electricity, roads, gas, clean drinking water, better education and health facilities to improve the living standard of common man.

The Prime Minister was talking to District Nazim Attock Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd) who called on him this afternoon at the PM's House.

The Prime Minister said that the main focus of our economic policies is to improve the lot of the common man.

He said that the Khushal Pakistan Programme initiated to provide civic amenities has started to bring about a visible improvement in the life of the common man. The Prime Minister inquired about the various ongoing development schemes initiated in Attock.
He emphasised the need for their timely completion so that the benefits of development start reaching the grass roots level.

The Prime Minister said that funds for establishing a modern and well-equipped trauma centre in Attock will be provided by the government.

He said the trauma centre will provide prompt relief in emergency situations for the people of Attock and the adjoining areas.

Talking about Pakistan Muslim League (PML) party matters, the Prime Minister emphasised the need to expedite the enrolment drive and its reorganisation to make it broad-based.

He said that the PML and its allied parties will continue to work to consolidate political and economic stability in the country and promote Islamic values in the society so that we can give a strong and stable Pakistan as envisaged by the Quaid-i-Azam.

Major Tahir Sadiq (Retd) briefed the Prime Minister on development schemes being implemented in Attock.

He assured the Prime Minister that the work on these schemes will be completed on schedule as the work on them is going satisfactorily.
