A donation of $50,000 has been extended for the earthquake victims in Pakistan by the Motorola Foundation. An announcement to this effect was made in a statement issued here on Sunday.

It said the Motorola and Care International join forces to support reconstruction of schools in Allai Valley.

The statement said the Motorola Foundation, the giving organisation of Motorola, has granted US $50,000 to Care International to further support the reconstruction of schools in the most affected earthquake area of Allai Valley.

"During the terrible earthquakes exactly one year ago, approximately 200 out of 215 schools in Allai Valley alone were badly damaged or destroyed. We are committed to reconstruction and to restoring education to this remote area, and are very pleased to be supported by a leading global company such as Motorola", said Country Director, Care International in Pakistan, Navaraj Gyawali.
