Currently, RAC offers two different models of FAW products in Pakistan ie "Roma Family Van" (1000cc, A/C, 8-seater) and "Roma Mini-Truck" (1000cc, large cargo box, 800 kg payload), these two models are also available in CNG. In the short span of time, nation-wide dealers networks with adequate service facilities have been set-up and over 1000 vehicles have been sold.
Simultaneously to CBU imports from FAW China, the Group started working on CKD operations for which a sister concern has been established by the name of "Roma Motor Company" (RMC). RMC approached Sindh Government for the accusation of land to set-up Roma/FAW Assembly Plant in joint venture with FAW China for the local assembly and manufacturing of FAW products.
Meanwhile, to commence the local CKD production in shortest possible time, RMC entered into an Agreement with Sindh Engineering (Pvt) Ltd to start contractual assembly of Roma Mini-Truck with factory fitted CNG. This locally assembled Pick-up will be launched in Pakistan by end 2006 followed by locally assembled Roma Van by early 2007. It is also planned to introduce Roma passenger cars by mid 2007.
