The history of Razzaque Basit Group of Companies is twenty years old. The foundation of this business concern was set up by three real brothers Shaikh Mohammad Aslam, Shaikh Mohammad Akram and Shaikh Abdul Razzaque. Belong to a small village Kasoki, district Gujrat.

In the year 1947, after the partition of India, the entire family had to migrate to Pakistan leaving all their assets and properties behind.

Razzaque Basit Oil Industries, established in 1981 and is today one of the largest cooking oil, banaspati ghee & industrial fat producing unit in Pakistan.

In 1994, due to unavailability of Mustard Oil in Faisalabad, group installed a new edible oil industry at Korangi Industrial Area Karachi namely Ali Oil Industries.

As a result, Razzaque Basit Oil Industry was formed at Plot No 103, Sector 27, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi in 1992.

In 1997, the management of RB Oil once again decided to enhance business by producing industrial fats ie Bisco, Cremo and Margerine. For this, the equipment and machinery was imported from UK and highly educated & experienced staff was procured.

Later in 2002, during the denationalisation of industries by the government of Pakistan, Razzaque Basit Group purchased a unit of Ghee Corporation of Pakistan in S.I.T.E. Karachi. Which is presently a profitable part of RB Group known as Al-Hashmi Brother Oil Industries Private Limited.

In the year 2001, Razzaque Basit Group's management decided to diversify its business in the automobiles field. For this, Mr Kashif Razzaque (the only son of the group chairman Mr Abdul Razzaque) was nominated to establish and urn automotive business.

Mr Kashif Razzaque decided to start from a smaller level by establishing a dealership outlet. In the long-term plans, the group management was interested in acquiring a sole distributorship of a world known brand for Pakistan as a first step, first dealership outlet was established in Korangi Industrial Area Karachi, on main Korangi Road as an authorised dealer of Hyundai and Kia vehicles known as Hyundai Southern Motors.

In 2006, Royal Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd signed the Sole Distributorship agreement with Malaysia's National car-maker "Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Berhad" to launch PROTON cars in Pakistan.
