The President made these remarks at a presentation by the Ministry of Law here Monday. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. The participants of the meeting were informed that recent amendments, introduced by the government, in the Pakistan Penal Code have provided a quantum relief to the women prisoners and have non acclaim as a major move forward in the government's efforts for the emancipation of women in the country.
