Board was informed of recent customers' convenience and comfort initiatives launched inclusive of E-Ticketing/Web-Ticketing, Baggage Information & Delivery Service (BIDS); Standby Special fares; and free Ticket Home Delivery and other key programmes aimed at providing additional value to its passengers.
Board was also informed of the strategic plans for PIA's operational and financial restructuring to overcome its current financial constraints, arisen mainly due to sky-rocketing fuel prices.
Board, however, noted that PIA was consistently meeting other key performance indicators relating to the aviation industry namely, Yield, Market Share, Seat Factor, Number of Passengers, Aircraft Utilisation, Service Standards, and Share Value showing significant improvements.
