A shutter down strike was observed in Hyderabad on Tuesday against the publication of blasphemous sketches in Denmark and other European newspapers.

Participants carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the European countries, condemned the publication of blasphemous sketches and demanded of the government of Pakistan to boycott the products of the European countries. The protesters also burnt tyres and blocked roads at different areas of the city.

Sahibzada Mehmood, Muhammad Ibrahim Shaikh, Shakir Raza, Mehboob Ahmed Qadri, Hammad Raza, Maulana Naimatullah and others addressing the gathering outside Hyderabad Press Club said that such nefarious acts were aimed at destroying the world peace and for creating misunderstandings between the followers of Islam and other religions.

The leaders asked the participants of the rallies to register their protest peacefully and avoid damaging the properties. Later, the participants of rallies dispersed peacefully.
