The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organising a two-day seminar on 'Pak-India Trade Sustainability' on February 10-11, 2006. Dr Salman Shah, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Economic Affairs will be the chief guest while LCCI President Mian Shafqat Ali will be the guest of honour on the occasion.

The seminar will benefit the business community of both the countries in identifying the hurdles coming in the way of smooth bilateral trade between Pakistan and India as the experts from both sides would throw light on various aspects.

Not only sustainability of the trade relations will be taken up in the seminar but its social dimensions would also be discussed threadbare.

The seminar will define the factors affecting sustainable trade relations, people/social dimensions (sociologists and anthropologists), Safta-WTO interface and Indo-Pak bilateral trade, macro economic and government's dimensions of trade, business entrepreneur's dimensions of trade and supply chain management dimensions of trade.

Experts from India, including Professor Gurman Singh, Professor Bawa, Rajinder Singh, Professor Verma Satish, Professor Raghbir Singh, Dr Sidhu Amarjit Singh and Dr Mann Bikramjit Singh are due to address the seminar.

Punjab Minister for Irrigation Aamir Sultan Cheema, Provincial Minister for Tourism Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Senator Chaudhry Zaffar Iqbal, ex-provincial Minister of Finance Shahid Kardar, and others would deliver their speeches on the occasion.
