Collectorate of Sales Tax and Federal Excise has made arrangements to receive sales tax returns electronically from the month of January 2006. In this connection, NIFT is organising training sessions for the concerned officials of public and private limited companies.

The Collectorate of Sales Tax is organising a seminar on electronic filing of sales tax returns at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) at 11:00 am on December 31, 2005.

Officials of the NIFT will brief about the procedure to file sales tax returns electronically in addition to giving a practical demonstration.

Meanwhile, a large number of public and private limited companies have got registration to file sales tax returns electronically.

The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has fixed NIFT registration fee of Rs 2500 for one year and Rs 5000 for two years.
