Five armed men took away around Rs 2.78 million from a private commercial bank in the jurisdiction of New Town police station on Friday. According to details, five armed men came to Soneri Bank, New Town branch, took the security guard at gunpoint, besides holding the staff and took away Rs 2.78 million.
They also collected prize bonds worth Rs 240,000 and fled.
Police have registered an FIR no: 367/05 against unknown culprits on the complaint of bank's cashier, Zubair Ahmed, at the New Town police station.
