Sindh Chief Secretary, Fazlur Rahman has asked the provincial administrative secretaries to strengthen inter-developmental co-ordination.

He made this assertion at a meeting that discussed problems and matters relating to inter-provincial co-ordination.

The meeting was attended by Aftab Ahmed Memon, Secretary Inter-Provincial Co-ordination, Syed Faisal Saud, Works and Services, Abdul Qadir Mangi, General Administration, Mir Hussain Ali, Excise and Taxation, Malik Israr Hussain, Finance, Brigadier (Retd) Ghulam Mohammed Mohtaram, Home, Shuja Ahmed Junejo, Water and Power besides other officials.

The meeting reviewed various matters including GST, financial transitions, debt servicing settlement outstanding against Wapda, Hesco and KESC on account of provincial taxes and fees, fisheries problems with Balochistan Government, law and order issues relating to neighbouring provinces, liaison with federal government on all pending issues and Lyari Expressway.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary called for enhanced working scope of IPCD and said all the departments should mutually look into their respective issues and make co-ordinated efforts through federal/provincial governments and concerned nation building departments to get them resolved efficiently.

It was decided that need-based meetings of respective departments would also be held to identify issues.

The Secretary IPCD was assigned to prepare work plan in the light of issues reviewed. It was decided that respected administrative secretaries would ensure follow-up of matters and issues identified to overcome difficulties and problems in this respect.

The Chief Secretary assured of his guidance and assistance for smooth functioning of respective departments.
