A delegation of senior chartered accountants and President Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) held separate meetings with the Commissioner Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Rashid Malik during his visit to Company Registration office here on Wednesday.

Various ways to increase the interaction between the professional bodies and SECP were discussed during the meetings. The chartered accountants and chief of LTBA appreciated the role of SECP in rendering time bound services to the corporate sector in an effective and organised manner.

The SECP commissioner asked the visitors to play their due role in increasing 'corporatisation' in the country.

He told the delegation members that concept of 'small company' introduced by the government through Finance Bill 2005-06 will definitely promote corporatisation, and SME sector can avail this facility. It was agreed that more meetings would be held to get feedback from the corporate sector about further measures to the taken by the SECP to enhance the pace of corporatisation.
