Taking parleys forward on over $7 billion Iran-India gas pipeline project, Iran on Thursday offered to host the tripartite ministerial meeting in Tehran in March next year.

"The interactions since the past two days have been fruitful, but there is variation in pricing of gas," Indian Petroleum Secretary S C Tripathi said after the meeting of Indo-Iran Joint Working Group at the conclusion of two-day talks.

New Delhi''s concerns on gas pricing had been conveyed to the Iranian delegation and the latter had agreed to take note of the same, added the Petroleum Secretary.

The Iranian side also offered to host the tripartite officials working group meeting in February next year ahead of the tripartite ministerial meeting in Tehran in March 2006.

In January, India would host a workshop on technical issues on the IPI pipeline to be attended by technical experts along with a tripartite meeting of the technical sub-group.
