Provincial Labour and Human Resources Minister Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi said that medicines, amounting to rupees five million, had been provided to quake-stricken areas while medical treatment had also been provided to 204 affectees in Social Security Hospital, Islamabad.

Talking to reporters here on Monday evening, he said that 126 injured persons after recovery had been discharged, while 78 patients were still under treatment in the hospital.

Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi further revealed that Rs 10,000 had been given to each patient by the Punjab Labour Department for their financial assistance.
