While addressing the members of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) here on Tuesday, she said, although our judicial system is based on advanced theory, but despite that there is always room for improvement.
She said that there are special courts for domestic violence and lawyers are allowed to deal with such cases after some special refresher courses, she added.
Mariyln said that we are ready to exchange our experiences with the police and judiciary in Pakistan.
She said events of forced marriages; honour killing and domestic violations are increasing gradually in Britain also. She said that judiciary in the UK also seek help from doctors, psychiatrists and social workers for the victim of domestic violence. President LHCBA Fakharunnisa Khokhar thanked the judge for visiting the bar.
