Eight persons were killed and more than one dozen injured in various road accidents on Thursday. According to details, in first accident, a rickshaw driver Muhammad Imtiaz and a passenger Mohammad Akram were killed on the spot, when a tractor trolley collided with the rickshaw near Aminpur Bungalow.

In second accident, three friends drowned in the Upper Gogera Canal, when their car skidded on the bridge near Kutchi Kothi on Faisalabad-Sheikhupura road, and fell into the canal, about 60km from here.

According to details, three friends Mushtaq, Adeel and Sohail Nawaz were going to Sheikhupura after attending an Eid Milan party at Faisalabad. When their car (LZU-2601) reached near Kutchi Kothi Bridge, it skidded and fell into the canal. The bodies of Adeel and Mushtaq were recovered while that of Sohail Nawaz could not be recovered so far.

In the third accident, a student of seventh class, Umer Jamil, was killed near Samanabad railway station, when he was hit by moving Multan Express. Two other persons were killed near Samandri in separate road accidents.
