The 9th International Convention on Quality Improvement (ICQI-2005) is being organised by Pakistan Institute of Quality Control at Karachi on November 15, 2005. The theme of this conference is 'Six Sigma and Emerging Quality tools', says a press release issued here on Thursday.

A large number of international and local quality experts will present papers, share their experiences, analysis and implementation strategies on the latest and emerging quality tools, methodologies and strategies.

Experts from Pakistan, India, USA, UK, Singapore, Bangladesh and UAE; representing various universities, industries and service sectors are participating in the moot.

Six-Sigma is the latest and advanced quality improvement methodology popular across the world in world class companies. The conference will also deliberate on various other latest quality technologies and tools, including Total Productive Maintenance, Benchmarking and Knowledge Management. Many practical case studies are being presented by some world-class companies.

This is the first time that Six-Sigma, one of the most advanced Quality Tools is being extensively deliberated in Pakistan with an aim to raise the quality of Pakistani industry to world class level.-PR
