A former police inspector Naveed Saeed known for police encounters and occupying disputed lands and his three friends were gunned down on Thursday in a property dispute.

According to details, Naveed along with his business partners Waheed Butt, Maqsood alias Pathani Khan and another Nasir were on their way at Raiwind road when Babar alias Baba along with Anjum and Javed sprayed bullets on their Pajeero, resultantly killing Naveed, Waheed Butt, Pathani Khan on the spot, while Nasir succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

Naveed Saeed had joined police department in 1984 and conducted 26 police encounters during his service. He also killed a number of outlaws in Lahore including Bhola Soniyara, Hanifa Pehlwan and others. He was terminated from service in 1994 for receiving bribe. NAB had also filed a reference against him for making money in excess of his income. The reference is still pending.
