The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) has register 0.70 percent increase in the price of kitchen items for the lowest income group to Rs 3000, for the week ended on November 2 as compared to the previous week.

The SPI for the week under review in the above mentioned group was record at 134.60 as against 133.66 recorded in the previous week, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).

During the week under review average prices of 13 items registered decrease , while those of 11 items increased with remaining 29 items' prices unchanged.

The items which recorded decrease in their average prices during the week under review included gur, LPG (11 KG Cylinder), Egg (farm) red chillies powdered, veg. ghee (tin) and Coarse Lathe. The items which registered increase in their prices included tomatoes, sugar, egg (farm), bananas, potatoes, onions, firewood, beef, chicken farm, wheat and masoor pulse washed.
