The chairman, Pakistan Association of Pathologists (PAP), Dr Khalid Zafar Hashmi, has said that the necessary medical equipment and diagnostic facilities would be made available at the earthquake-hit areas within next six months.

Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday he said the PAP also generated funds for establishment of laboratories at the earthquake-affected areas.

He announced that PAP, in collaboration with Pakistan Diagnostic Association (PDA), is organising 29th PAP Conference and Scientific Exhibition from November 16 to 18, 2005 at Karachi Expo Center.

He said that some 30 companies would take part in the PAP exhibition. Over 50 stalls would be set up at this exhibition, he added.

Dr Jamiluddin Rizvi, secretary PAP, Mubarak Ahmed, president PDA, Masood Ahmed, secretary general PDA, were also present on this occasion.
