The Karachi Port handled 145,520 tonnes of cargo including 135,472 tonnes import and 10,048 tonnes export cargo including 2,708 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 65,530 tonnes dry cargo including 46,254 tonnes general cargo; 2,834 tonnes sugar; 13,124 tonnes fertiliser; 3,318 tonnes rice and 79,990 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.

Four ships namely Sea Beta, Paige, Le Li and Panama Express sailed out to sea during the report period.

Two vessels viz Global Progress and Ever Guard are currently at the berths.

Nine ships namely Maersk Alaska, Troy Burg, MT Shalamar, Lalazar, Rifki Bey, Yang Jiang He, Ryong Gang 2, Ponl Buenos Aires and Ever Guard expected to sail on Tuesday.

Two vessels viz Diamond Park and Kota Waruna due to arrive on Tuesday, while eleven ships namely YM Star, Eagle Express, Hyundai Future, Ponl Vera Cruz, Emerald Sea, Cma Cgm Karibu, Sanko Summit, Cosmos Ace, Sibi, Paraskevi II and Imme are due to arrive on Wednesday.

Three ships namely Shintoku, Corinthiakos and Teen are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 54,806 tonnes comprising 47,207 tonnes import and 7,599 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,045 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 14,618 tonnes HSFO; 5,024 tonnes sugar, 14,729 tonnes coal and 17,765 tonnes containerised cargo.

Two ships namely CV Camilla Rickmer and Difko Chaser sailed out to sea during last 2 hours.

A total of three vessels viz Chitral, Multn and Qany Yuan are currently at the outer anchorage.
