Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Mushahid Hussain Syed on Tuesday said the government was striving for the early rehabilitation of the quake victims. He said every effort was being made for rehabilitation and reconstruction in the affected areas.

Talking in a PTV programmer he expressed satisfaction on the ongoing relief activities and said the opening of one point at LoC would help relieve the sufferings of the quake victims before onset of the winter season.

He said more points at LoC would be opened with the passage of time.

He said the media has played a key role in communicating information from the quake-hit areas.

He thanked the international community for its timely help and said their services for humanity were admirable. He also thanked Pakistan army, social organisations, NGOs and volunteers who were participating in reconstruction and rebuilding process.

He urged the donors and overseas Pakistanis to participate in the international conference to be held in November and wholeheartedly extend financial assistance to their brethren.
