A four-member Saudi delegation headed by Minister for Social Welfare, Dr Abdul Mohsin Al-Akass met Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education, Zobaida Jalal here on Tuesday.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest and enhancement of Social Welfare sectors' co-operation and rehabilitation of the earthquake victims came under discussion. Zobaida Jalal briefed the delegation about the ongoing relief operation.

She said the present government is committed for the rehabilitation of quake affected people and taking a number of steps in this regard.

The minister also expressed satisfaction over the ongoing relief activities and said the situation would improve further in the coming week.

"We are keen to bring the affected persons into the national mainstream", she maintained. She also termed their visit a step forward in enhancing the existing ties between both the countries.

Later, the delegation also hailed the policies of present government and showed keen interest to enhance co-operation between the two countries.
