Fishermen's Co-operative Society (FCS) will provide financial assistance to the families of Keti Bandar boat incident victims. According to FCS here on Monday, the FCS managing committee member, Haji Shafi Jamote, announced this during the condolence meeting with the families of boat capsized victims at Keti Bandar.

He said that the injured survivors would be provided a complete treatment at the expenses of the society.

FCS announcement said that the relief team led by the chief medical officer of the society was already in Keti Bandar to prepare a report of the tragic incident.

This team will submit its report to the managing committee for compensation to the families of the victims.

It may be noted that 53 people, including women and children were aboard when a boat capsized in a creek near Khalifa village on Eid day, in which. Thirty five persons mostly women and children were drowned in the incident.
