PML-N spokesman Khawaja Saad Rafique expressed these views during a press conference in connection with the rejoining of former provincial minister Sheikh Rohail Asghar here on Monday.
PML-N Central Finance Secretary Muhammad Pervez Malik and PML-N Punjab Secretary General Zaeem Qadri were also present on the occasion.
Saad further said that issuance of Pakistani passport to Nawaz Sharif should not be perceived as a favour on the part of the military government, as it was his fundamental right to have one, which delayed for no reason.
Welcoming Sheikh Rohail Asghar, his son Khurram Rohail Asghar and his political companions to the PML-N, he averred that they had joined the party with their own will without any conditions attached.
He was of the firm view that political changes were taking place in the country and in near future politicians of Asghar stature would join the N-League camp.
To a question, Saad said that the PML-N would welcome back everybody to the party and there has no change in the party's policy on the matter.
"Decisions can be taken on individual basis and the party leadership would take the final decision on the matter. However, the party's doors were closed for 'certain politicians' who had supported the military regime and its October 12 coup, and in the process shown anti-democratic behaviour. "There is no room for them in the party," he added.
Sheikh Rohail Asghar said on this occasion that he had taken the decision of rejoining the party in consensus with his friends with the aim of restarting his political career.
He admitted that he had made a political mistake by leaving the N-League, from where he started his political career under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
