The Meteorological Department has forecast on Monday start of winter rains and scattered snowing in the hilly areas of the earthquake-devastated areas of Hazara Division and Azad Jammu & Kashmir during the next twenty-four hours.

A spokesman of the Met Department told Business Recorder here that light rain is also expected in the upper regions of the NWFP, Northern Areas and Rawalpindi.

He said that this spell of rains and snow would continue for four days, fully setting in winter in the Himalayan hills.
