Thai share prices are likely to rise this week as investors expect upbeat earning reports from the country's major companies, analysts said.

"Investors are waiting for earning reports by major companies due out this week. They expect earning results to be strong" in the three months to September, said Kanang Duangmanee, a senior researcher at Kasikorn Research Center.

Kanang said investors would likely turn bullish this week on expected strong corporate results.

Thailand's top energy firm PTT, its top mobile operator Advance Info Service, and Advance's holding firm Shin Corporation are expected to announce earning results in the three months to September this week.

Thai Oil, the country's largest oil refinery by capacity, is also expected to release its quarterly earning report this week.

For the week ended on November 4, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index jumped 23.98 points or 3.51 percent to close Friday at 706.23.
