However, he held out an assurance that it would not occur again and he would solve all problems one by one with active support of the people.
He revealed all historical buildings and places like Balahisar Fort, Gorgathri, Shahibagh, Wazirbagh and Jinnah Park would be converted into attractive recreation spots after taking them all in custody of the local government while more drastic steps of far reaching impacts would also be taken to establish bigger parks and picnic spots in and around the city.
UNDERPASSES: To a question he said over 20 underpasses would be constructed in the city at different important places of highways and squares to facilitate easy passage of pedestrians as well as remove traffic jam problems.
He assured that the residents of Peshawar would soon enjoy more recreation facilities than the people of Lahore and Karachi owing to concrete steps of the district government. He said private sector would be encouraged and all required facilities and incentives would be made available for this purpose.
