In a statement on Sunday, he said it is the responsibility of officials of the concerned department to make the places of recreation safe for the visitors.
The minister further stated that action would be taken against those indulging in dereliction of duty in this respect.
He said a human life is very precious. The present government is striving for the promotion of tourism but such incidents hamper these efforts.
Qamar Mansoor asked the District Police Officer Thatta and DIG Headquarters to co-ordinate with the department regarding strengthening of rules and regulations for provision of security to the people at the places of recreation.
He said it should be ensured that there be no over-crowding in the boats and that the requirement of use of life jackets be fulfilled.
The minister further stated that the speed limit of a boat should also be determined.
He also appealed to the people to avoid over-crowding in boats and use life jackets also.
