Wheat prices rose on the wholesale commodity markets despite government efforts to keep prices in check during the holy month of Ramazan, that ended on November 3, 2005. Trading was seen on just two days and hence just a few changes were marked.
On Monday wheat was quoted higher to be quoted at Rs 1135 and Rs 1140 and better up at Rs 1145/1150. Cotton cakes with bag shed Rs 10 to Rs 450/460.

DYES HAD FOLLOWING CHANGES: China Tenjin Blue XTRL 250 pc up Rs 20 to Rs 300, yellow 500pc 7GL down Rs 10 to Rs 570, ATT acid Black up Rs 5 to Rs 80, acid 216 up Rs 5 to Rs 100 and Pakistani dyes Black ex up Rs 5 to Rs 115. On Wednesday some commodities registered sharp rise such as makai inferior gained Rs 75 to Rs 900, better type up Rs 100 to Rs 925, Urad Burma low type up Rs 150 to Rs 1250 and better type stayed put at Rs 1300, Guwar inferior shed Rs 20 to Rs 1800 and better up Rs 45 to Rs 1980, cotton cakes up Rs 2 and better type rose by Rs 5.
