President General Pervez Musharraf on Friday renewed his call for more international support for the quake-affected people of NWFP and Azad Kashmir, saying the survivors in the mountains are facing much harsher conditions than the people affected by last year's Tsunami in South East Asian countries.

He told BBC Television that the magnitude of calamity in the remote mountainous zone is much more than Tsunami.

"This is the remote area. I will appeal to the world to see reality that it is these people who deserve more aid much more because they are poor.

"And they are facing much harsher conditions than tsunami," he said referring to severe winter looming over the region.

Replying to a question, the President said that United Nations should be more biased in favour of poorer segments of the comity of nations.
