The Karachi Port handled 81,943 tonnes of cargo including 69,726 tonnes import and 12,217 tonnes export cargo including 3,480 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 79,894 tonnes dry cargo including 60,907 tonnes general cargo; 1,335 tonnes sugar; 12,613 tonnes fertiliser; 2,939 tonnes rice; 2,100 tonnes coal and 2,049 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.

Four ships namely Hanjin Busan, MMM Kingston, Iran Yamin and Oriental Kerria sailed out to sea during the report period.

Five vessels viz Hanjin Busan, Apl Jeddah, Oriental Kerria, Kota Tampan and Paigo are currently at the berths.

Two ships namely Santa Bhum and Apl Jeddah expected to sail on Wednesday, while four vessels viz Iran Sarbaz, Daya Hai, Thor Captain and Kota Tampan expected to sail on Thursday.

Six vessels viz MT Johar, Kota Wajr, Hyundai Advance, Harmony, Santa Fe and Esle Express due to arrive on Wednesday, while two ships namely Apl Orchid and Kota Permas are due to arrive on Thursday.

MT Shalamar is due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 99,503 tonnes comprising 70,824 tonnes import and 28,679 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,853 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 48,980 tonnes diesel oil; 5,270 tonnes wheat, 6,265 tonnes chemicals; 4,903 tonnes sugar and 34,085 tonnes containerised cargo.

Three ships namely MT Yanaseni, MV Captain P. Egglezos and CV Sealand Freedom sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship CV Msc Delta is expected to sail on Wednesday.

A total of three vessels viz Chem Lily, Olympic Spirit and Global Pallas are currently at the outer anchorage.

Two ships namely CV Nedlloyd Cobra and Global Pallas due to take berths on Wednesday.

Three vessels viz MT Anette Kosan, Difco Chaser and CV Gallant Wave with chemicals, diesel oil and containers are due to arrive on Wednesday.
