Governor of Punjab Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) on Tuesday sent first team of 11 workers of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Punjab for reconstruction purposes in quake-affected areas of the country. Khalid Mahmood, chairman of TEVTA, who met the governor during the day, was present on the occasion.

On the initiative of the governor 150 such teams that will also include teams of other companies and developers would proceed to the earthquake-hit areas. These teams will be sent to the areas after November 10,2005 and would remain in the work areas on rotation base for 15 days.

Governor Khalid Maqbool highly appreciated efforts of the TEVTA team whose members have offered for relief service.

Meanwhile, 50,000 kits of tools would be sent to the quake-affected areas for repair operations.
