But he says that by winning or placing well in the jointly-sponsored tournaments and in such as this week's lucrative event, a twin tour triumph is possible.
"If you look at it, if Tiger would have been a member of the European Tour he would have done it. So it is realistic," he said.
"You've just got to win the right tournaments. You win a couple of Majors, maybe one or two World events and you do well in the others, it just keeps adding."
Garcia started his pro career on the European PGA Tour in 1999 but since then he has mainly competed in the United States electing to play in the minimum 11 tournaments required to keep his European Tour card.
All four Majors are jointly sponsored by both tours as are the four WGC events, most of which are played in the United States, leaving just three others to fulfil the European requirements.
Garcia's tour priorities are unlikely to change in the near future, he said.
"I'd love to play more often on the European Tour, but unfortunately I can't," he said.
"I'm not a machine and I have to rest as it's a lot of travelling involved.
