The All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) executive committee had decided in its meeting held on January 13, that from year 2005 there will be only one holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha. So, the member publications will observe one holiday on account of Eid-ul-Fitr as per following:

In case the Eid falls on Friday, November 4, 2005. There will be no morning newspapers on Saturday, November 5, 2005, whereas the eveningers not appearing on Friday may bring out their editions on Saturday, if they so desire.

However, if Eid falls on Saturday, November 5, 2005. There will be no morning newspapers on Sunday, November 6, 2005, whereas the eveningers not appearing on Saturday may bring out their editions on Sunday, if they so desire.-PR
