Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and all over the world will observe Black Day on Thursday. The Day will be marked by complete strike and large-scale protest demonstrations in occupied Kashmir.

According to KMS it was on this day in 1947 that Indian armed forces invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it quite contrary to Kashmiris aspirations.

Call for observing the Black Day and strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Kashmiri leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Mian Abdul Qayyum.
