So what's next?

The market!

Which market, Sunday or stock?

Both r bad as far as v r concerned.

Will u define whom do u refer to by saying v?

The people of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Meaning?

Nothing !

Just thinking of the washing procedure!

What?

R u planning to open a dry cleaning shop?

No!

I fancy washing not dry cleaning. Its in fashion these days.

Strange!

I always thought dry cleaning is better than washing.

But the dry cleaners r not famous these days as compared to the dhobis.

Strange!

Actually I had never been to a "dhobi ghatt."

Do u want to visit one?

Certainly!

But am interested in one which is recognised by the government.

What?

A Dhobi Ghatt recognised by the government?

I meant patronage from the government.

U have gone mad.

Dhobis r mostly poor people and they do not enjoy any patronage from people in authority.

But what if they become more powerful than the authority .

R u joking?

My dhobi is a poor man, used to come on foot when I was a child, bought bicycle when I was in university and now after 40 years he had bought a second hand motor bike to collect and supply clothes for washing from house to house.

Does he charge commission?

What?

He is in business and to earn a livelihood he has to charge some thing.

I asked does he charge commission?

He charges service fee @ Rs 4 per piece.

Quite a handsome service charge per piece.

He can only handle clothes for washing as per his capacity .

Is there anyone who judges his capacity.

My dear the service provider's performance is judged by the people being served.

Is there any authority who regulate dhobies?

U mean any regulator?

Sort of, yes.

The authority looks into the utilities they r consuming legally eg electricity through illegal connections etc.

So!

Even that poor man is being regulated.

U may say that as he has to pay for the electricity and the other expenses incurred in the process of washing and ironing.

Is he a millionaire?

Have u gone mad.?

Heard that in Pakistan the dhobis r very rich.

What?

In fact I was referring to the "dhobi ghatt".

U must have mixed it with the dhobi brokers.

R they a different kind of breed?

No They do the same task as traditional dhobis do.

Meaning?

They wash the innocent investors out of their savings making it go down the drain.....they do the wash sale for the clever lot making it possible for them to sell their stocks at higher prices. They come out of washing clean and dry the already dried resources of innocent common man who is lured into the trap.

Am confused!

The traditional dhobis sell their wash and the broker dhobi do the wash sale.
