Any political activity, banners, slogan raising will also be banned within the precincts of the mazar under the Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Protection and Maintenance Act, 1971. However, only Pakistani flag will be allowed to be carried inside the precincts of the mazar
Resident engineer of the board said that wheel barrows etc around the mazar will be strictly prohibited and confiscated on the spot.
He appealed to the people to specially protect the mazar's installations, grass, plants, lights, fountains etc and avoid causing damage to them. He said carrying of pan, cigarette, bettle nuts inside the mazar as also strictly prohibited. He requested for public co-operation and called for strict compliance with the aforesaid instructions to maintain the sanctity of the Quaid's mazar which he said, is a national monument and its protection is the responsibility of every Pakistani.
According to the announcement Mazar-e-Quaid will be closed for public on August 13 for want of preparations for Independence Day celebrations. The mazar will also be closed on August 15 till 3 pm for want of its cleaning.
